S Pritam Singh Unanimously Re-elected President of IOSS

S. Pritam Singh IAS(Retd.) was unanimously re-elected as the President of Institute of Sikh Studies(IOSS), Chandigarh for the year 2010 at its General Body Meeting held at the IOSS Headquarters on 7th December 2009. His name was proposed by Bibi Baljit Kaur and was vociferously seconded by several members. The General Body greatly appreciated the hard work put in by the outgoing team lead by S. Pritam Singh which was evident from the excellent response to Annual Seminar on Sikhs in states outside Punjab, the History Conference on Banda Singh Bahadur and the First Dr. Kharak Singh memorial lecture. The IOSS's role in spearheading the movement for the Banda Singh Bahadur memorial at Chappar Chhiri was also lauded.
 
S. Pritam Singh thanked the members for their cooperation during his first year as President and for the confidence reposed in him by giving him another term. He promised to work harder towards the completion of existing projects as also take up fresh projects to take the IOSS towards greater heights.
